Farm Umbrella

This page summarizes the status of ISO's farm umbrella filings in response to the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002. The filings include forms, policywriting rules, and rating rules. We have made two sets of filings — one for states where our previous war or terrorism exclusion endorsement (FB 10 31) does apply and one for states where it does not apply.

Forms, policywriting rules, and rating rules related solely to losses from "certified acts of terrorism"
(Filing Designations FR-2002-OFRTR (forms) and FR-2002-ORUTR (rules, including rating) for states where FB 10 31 does apply)
(Filing Designations FR-2002-OTRFR (forms) and FR-2002-OTRRU (rules, including rating) for states where FB 10 31 does not apply)

Under a provision of the federal law, these rules are exempt from prior approval and otherwise applicable state waiting periods and are effective immediately upon filling.
