Wind Services
To complement the hurricane data available through LOCATION® Natural Catastrophe Service, ISO also offers six important LOCATION Wind Services:

The Connecticut Insurance Department endorses ISO's angle of impact measurement (AIM) methodology.
The Connecticut Insurance Department expects insurers to use the ISO-developed AIM methodology to justify their coastal underwriting practices and submit coastal mappings with their filings. AIM indicates where the highest winds will occur along rivers and where the most damage is likely. LOCATION® Distance to Ocean/Major Body of Water Services use AIM to define coastlines and give accurate distances between each risk address and the nearest ocean, gulf, or other major body of water. | |
