ClaimDirectorSM is a supervised expert system that helps you distinguish between suspicious and meritorious claims. The system provides scores for claims based on an analysis of each claim's attributes and any matching records in the ISO ClaimSearch® database.

How ClaimDirector works
When you submit a claim to ISO ClaimSearch, ClaimDirector analyzes the attributes of the claim — along with information from any matching claims found in the ISO ClaimSearch database — and compares those attributes against proven fraud indicators appropriate for the claim.

The system then assigns a weight to each characteristic according to the type of claim, line of business, loss date, and loss type. All of those components contribute to the ClaimDirector score.

A high score indicates the presence of characteristics suggesting potential fraudulent activity and/or a significant number of matches in the database — and allows you to earmark the claim for additional investigation.

A flexible, customizable tool
ISO ClaimSearch delivers ClaimDirector with sets of default values for many elements, including weights applied to fraud indicators and loss-assignment and claims-handling characteristics. But you can custom-tailor the system to suit the needs of your organization. You can set your own values and customize fraud indicators, claim characteristics, rules, and thresholds.
