Catastrophe Hazard Report
The Catastrophe Hazard Report helps you manage your exposure to
loss from hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, earthquakes, floods, winter
storms, and terrorism. You get objective, accurate risk profiles
representing every address in the continental United States at risk from
those perils.
With information from ISO's sister company AIR Worldwide,
the service provides critical factors — including risk scores and
average annual loss figures — to help you make profitable underwriting
decisions and manage your risk portfolio.
Here's what you get:
Hurricane data
- long-term average annual, 100-year, and 250-year loss-level information
- scores that show the risk at each location and the relative risk compared with other locations in the county and state
- physical characteristics of the risk location, including elevation and terrain
- storm-surge potential
- Florida wind loss mitigation information
- historical hurricane information, including hurricane name, date of landfall, and intensity
Severe thunderstorm data
- long-term average annual, 100-year, and 250-year loss-level information
- scores that show the risk at each location and the relative risk compared with other locations in the county and state
- tornado, hailstorm, and straight-line windstorm frequencies
- nearest historical tornado, hail storm, and straight-line wind storm information, including storm date and intensity
Earthquake data
- long-term average annual, 100-year, and 250-year loss-level information
- scores that show the risk at each location and the relative risk compared with other locations in the county and state
- physical properties at each location, including soil type and potential for landslide and liquefaction
- intensity value of an event likely to occur within a100-year return period
- earthquake fault (Alquist-Priolo) zone
- distance to nearest significant fault
- California Department of Insurance earthquake zones for properties located in California only
- historical earthquake information, including earthquake name and date, magnitude, and epicentral distance and depth
Winter storm data
- long-term average annual, 100-year, and 250-year loss-level information
- scores that show the risk at each location and the relative risk compared with other locations in the county and state
- snow and wind frequency
Flood data
- flood zone information (as defined by FEMA)
- elevation
- shortest distance to water body
- 100-year and 500-year flood plains
- FEMA flood zones map
Terrorism data
- distance to nearest target
- target type
- terrorism map showing locations of targets
