ISO's Automobile-Property Loss Underwriting Service (A-PLUSTM) is the first and largest property and liability claims database designed for insurance underwriters. With A-PLUS, you can independently evaluate the potential underwriting profitability of individual personal and commercial risks and risk locations.
More than 1,440 insurance companies — representing 95 percent of the industry by premium volume — contribute reports of property claims to the A-PLUS database. Thirty FAIR Plans and other state-sponsored plans also contribute data. A-PLUS supplies three to five years of claims information on all losses, due to all perils, at all thresholds.
A-PLUS also supplies claims histories for personal and commercial auto. More than 980 auto insurers — representing nearly 93 percent of the U.S. private passenger premium volume — have committed to reporting to the A-PLUS database.
And now, A-PLUS offers Coverage VerifierTM — the next generation risk-decision tool. Coverage Verifier provides information on current and previous coverages and other policy-level data for homeowners and personal auto underwriting.
You can access the A-PLUS databases through ISO Passport®, the electronic delivery system from ISO. In addition to A-PLUS loss histories, ISO Passport offers access to extensive underwriting information on specific locations, as well as motor vehicle reports (MVRs), undisclosed-driver reports, consumer-credit data, and much more.
