ISO ClaimSearch® and the NICB provide ForeWARNSM Alert notifications in Claims Inquiry

ISO and the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) have joined forces to provide a new capability — ForeWARNSM Alert notifications — for SIU-level ISO ClaimSearch® participants who are also National or Associate members of the NICB. The notifications have been available since October 23, 2009.

When an SIU-level user from an NICB participating company enters a Claims Inquiry in ISO ClaimSearch, the system will also search the NICB ForeWARN database. If the search identifies a ForeWARN Alert on a party in the claim in the database, the result report in Claims Inquiry will include a summary of the ForeWARN Alert at the top of the Claims Inquiry result summary page. The summary will include a link to the NICB ForeWARN database, where users can obtain more detailed information about the insured, claimant, or service provider that is the subject of the ForeWARN Alert.

ForeWARN Alert notifications are another enhancement that improves industry resources for the fight against insurance fraud.
