Coming soon: ISO ClaimSearch® Search Alert
ISO ClaimSearch® is pleased to debut Search Alert — an exciting new feature to help SIU staff from across the country collaborate more effectively on claims fraud investigations.
Search Alert will provide fraud investigators with actionable information about active claims investigations under way at other insurance companies or at the NICB that might relate to the investigators' cases.
When an SIU investigator performs certain types of ISO ClaimSearch inquiries on an individual, service provider, or vehicle, Search Alert will compare the search terms the investigator used against similar inquiries from SIU-level ISO ClaimSearch users from other insurers or the NICB. Search Alert will notify the investigator when the system finds a matching search and will continue to send notification about subsequent similar inquiries for 60 days. The system will also notify the other investigators about the first investigator’s inquiry.
Search Alert will monitor a number of search types, including:
- name/address
- address
- Social Security number
- vehicle identification number (VIN)
- driver’s license number
ISO ClaimSearch will provide investigators with an online Search Alert Report on the Claims Inquiry web page. The report will contain details on all search matches the system finds, including the search date, claim number, search criteria, and the other investigator’s name, company, and contact information.
For sensitive cases, investigators will have the option to mark searches as private if they do not wish to share the details of their inquiry with others.
