Amelia Island Plantation is on Amelia Island in northeast Florida, just across the St. Marys River from Georgia. Special room rate — includes resort fee
We have arranged for a block of standard rooms for IFM Conference attendees at Amelia Island Plantation® at a special rate of $189.00 plus taxes per night for single or double occupancy.

The special room rate of $189.00 includes the Amelia Island Plantation resort fee. The resort fee provides local and toll-free phone access, unlimited high-speed internet access in all Amelia Inn hotel rooms, unlimited on-property shuttle transportation, self-parking, and unlimited use of the health and fitness center. The health and fitness center is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

To receive the discounted rate, reserve your room by Thursday, February 17, 2011 or until the group block is sold-out. After Thursday, February 17, 2011, the hotel will accommodate you depending on space and rate availability.

Making reservations
For hotel room reservations, call 1-888-261-6165. To receive the special rate, be sure to mention that you're attending IFM 2011 and provide the dates of the conference when making your reservation. At that time, please specify if you need any special room arrangements.

The hotel requires one night's room and tax deposit and will charge your credit card immediately. The hotel will apply the deposit to your first night of stay. If you must cancel your reservation, you must do so seven (7) days prior to the date of arrival to receive a refund of the deposit.

Extending your stay
If you would like to extend your stay, the hotel is offering the special conference rate three (3) days before and three (3) days after the conference, based on limited availability.

Getting there — complimentary resort shuttle
Amelia Island Plantation is 29 miles north from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and about a 40-minute drive from downtown Jacksonville.

The resort is offering IFM attendees complimentary shuttle service between the Jacksonville Airport and the hotel at the following times:

  • Sunday, March 20, 2011 — the shuttle will depart from Jacksonville Airport to Amelia Island Plantation at 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 23, 2011 — the shuttle will depart from the hotel to Jacksonville Airport at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.

Please note: There are a limited number of seats available, and shuttle reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your space on a shuttle, please call 1-800-874-6878 and select option 7. If the complimentary shuttles are filled, you can arrange transportation through the resort at a cost of $38 per person each way.

Shuttle check-in at the airport: To ride the shuttle, you must check in at the Jacksonville Airport Transportation Booth. Upon arrival at the airport, proceed down the escalator to Baggage Claim to reclaim your luggage. Exit the baggage claim area using the doors on the north end of the airport near the Delta baggage claim (this will be on your left coming down the escalator). Upon exiting the building, the Transportation Booth will be located directly to your right. Check in with attendant on duty by providing your name. The attendant will direct you to the Amelia Island Plantation vehicle.

Check-in and checkout times
Hotel check-in is 4:00 p.m. and checkout is at 11:00 a.m.

There's plenty to do on Amelia Island Plantation, including bicycling, fishing, kayaking, tennis, golfing on three Audubon International certified sanctuary golf courses, nature tours, bird watching, horseback riding, spa treatments, shopping, dining, and much more.
